The installation itself can often be completed within a few hours, depending on the size and complexity of the enclosure. However, custom glass must first be measured, fabricated, and prepared before installation.

Look for durable tempered safety glass, corrosion-resistant hardware, secure hinges, properly finished edges, and smooth door operation. The enclosure should be accurately measured and professionally installed to help prevent instability, leaks, and uneven gaps.

Quality hardware and installation are just as important as the glass itself. A well-installed shower door should feel secure, open smoothly, and fit the shower layout correctly.

Use a squeegee after each shower to remove water and reduce soap scum and mineral buildup. Clean the glass regularly with a nonabrasive glass cleaner or a mild mixture of water and white vinegar.

Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, and metal tools that could scratch the glass or damage the hardware. Wipe the hinges and fixtures with a soft cloth, and periodically check the seals and hardware for looseness or wear.
